I've just got my Bedford TK wheels shotblasted and primered. They're big steel wheels which I now need to spray. I've got a compressor
and spray gun that I've used many times before with cellulose paints, I'm after a decent paint to use. It needs to give good protection and
not chip too easily. I don't know much/anything about non-cellulose paints. Colour requirements: blacker than satan's black bits.
Also if anyone knows where to get tyres for older trucks that'd be great. Size: 8.25R16, need inner tubes etc.
File off any sharp edges and etch prime and then 1 dust coat and 2 full coats of chassis black, 20 mins appart
what's chassis black? is that a brand? They've had a decent coat of primer already ^_^
chassis black
never used it myself though.
you've got a bedford tk?! i want an old truck. nowhere to keep it, and not allowed a license to drive it
Thanks for the link, yeah I have a 5.4 litre Bedford TK that's been fitted out like a motorhome but more awesome I'll be spending some time in it up near Loch Lomond (dunbarton/alexandria) in august/september. Where's greenock?

Its a VERY long way from Crowlas!
afternoon blakep!!!
afternoon matt
i painted my chassis and trailer with machine paint after some advice from a welder chappy,
you can thin it down for spraying and its brilliant for not chipping.
altho i brushed it on the trailer and its as good a finish as my chassis.
