Im thinking about my body design (whilst i wana stick roughly to the 7 shape i also want to put my own deisgn into it somehow and be different) i thought about widening a motorbike nose cone and using this.

This way it would give me the sharp line im looking for with the complications of trying to bend it from ali or mould one.

Can you use fibreglass on the stock plastic fairings? I was thinking about mabye a couple of ali bars across to strenghten it and then fibreglass a couple of sheets across for the shape.

Wacky idea or possible?

You can get after market grp pattern bodywork for bikes - have a search on ebay - which might be better for the task.

my thought was just that the stock ones would be cheaper, if i can find somehting with a little bit of damage i might be able to pick it up dead cheap

Is it possible then? Im thinking cut down the middle, Strips of ally across bonded on to give the shape and strength then a sheet of fibreglass to cover the gap.

Also a sheet of ally bonded to the bottom of it for fixing then just alot of finishing work

i cant think why it wouldnt work...
