Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rant rant rant.......
I have broken some more..............
I have had enough....... who can recommend the best cycle wing brackets to fit Sierra uprights.
I want substantial ones, make from iron or concrete, or both........
Cheers in advance........
Mr Angry from Angry.......
Have you tried the MK ones they seem to fit well on to the sierra uprights - bolted in 2 places - if you want some picking up let me know I live near MK and am down In Gloucester next week
Mac1's are pretty good too, no probs yet and I haven't heard of any failures.
my luego ones are rather good, they have not broken yet but i have only done 900miles so far
6,000 miles on a pair of MK brackets for me.
Mike
The ones STM sold me are 5mm bar. They ain't never going to break
They did also sell a lightweight version though which used to break quick quickly (but lighter for racing....).
I've done 8500 miles with my Luego brackets no problems.
My Luego brackets lasted 500 miles! Suspect they may have brought them in from Lolocost?. Hope the ones I made earlier in the year last a bit longer.
I burnt my MK ones and bought MAC 1's
Mine are holding up well...
How impractical/illegal is it to have no front wheel arches?
Very
Not at all
So it's very impractical, but not illegal?
Interesting....
It will earn you a £30 non endorsable penalty notice under "no wing/mudguard fitted".
To add, mine are made from 10mm concrete reinforcing rod. I've got rid of the bounce in them now and they're fine.
