Hey triton/tritonseats,

For the "wide seats" which dimension is going to be restrictive in my Dax? Where is the full width measured? Trying to work out if I can fit them in.

Full Width - 435mm
Base Width - 370mm

Chest Width- 355mm

Fozzie - 23/11/09 at 09:18 AM

Craig,

I have a 'book' chassis.....and I have got the 'wides' .... (assuming these are the same as Tritons old 'wide-boys' seat design).....pics in my archive...

Sorry didn't realise they had registered on here
Max width is the front rolled edge and like Fozzie mentioned they fit the Locost chassis. The wide seats won't fit the early Westfield or Caterham though.

Oh and there is a Striker seat don't forget...

The max width is the rolled edge which if need be could be trimmed back with a grinder, I know folk have fitted the narrower seats into the Dax but for the life of me can't remember if anyone has used the wide seats..

Someone has attacked your seat padding with a Stanley knife

Do all of the above seats include bosses for runners?

Can you tell me the weight of a completed high side pair?

Cheers

Yes all apart from the wizard seat have m8 steel inserts bonded into the second skin and a pair of high sides will weigh approx 9kgs. Not sure on the weight of a pair of seat runners though.

alistairolsen - 24/11/09 at 10:02 PM

Thats ok, I have the runners. 4.5kg a seat isnt bad. Is there much to be saved with the low sided seats?

tritonseats - 25/11/09 at 07:24 PM

No they weigh the same in fact we have found the high side commonly weighs a bit less. The last one went out at 4kg
