I am about to set forth with a bike engined Fiat 126..
The build will include quite a widening of the cars track to accomodate the new suspension.
I am after sugggestions & ideas for how and what to use to build a wide arch kit ?
Do I ?....
Use fibreglass - Mod up arches from a Mini ?
Use Metal - Chop & Cut arches and patch them in
Use Carbon Fibre - Make a patterns & get them made up professionally.
Check out my blog or Locost photo album to see how big the arches are I need to have.
The car will be staying white, so maybe the arches will look better in white..
fire away- Thanks
you could get some of a 4x4 and trim the edge so you can bend them.
adam
something like these off the bay you could cut them up to make the size you want

Personally (depending on the cost) I'd use factor wings and quarter panels cut down and then sheet metal'd on top to form proper wide arches for the Delta Integrale or escort cosworth look
how about starting with arches something like these and making wider as required

Wide trailer wings made off steel mark round the wing cut the body insert the wing then weld in place
thats if you want them to look like the car in your photos

Cheers,
Steel is looking likely, Ive got pics from a Polish site where they cut the lip off then put cut across the width of the arch at 90 degrees to
it...
Then add in a new chopped down "trailer" type arch.Image deleted by owner

would have though mini or even mk1/2 escort big arches could be made to fit
bubble arched fiat 126 sounds cool as to me
ABS Motorsport seem to stock stuff aswell as TDK which might fit the bill.
Plus the fibreglass experts in South Shields whose name escapes me.
Any other suggestions ?
