whats the best way to paint alloy paneling inside the car? Leave it bare till after IVA? Only problem will then be pulling it all off etc so i'd prefer to do it before.

Or has anyone covered it with a fake suede type stuff that can cope with getting wet twice a year!? If so any links?

Cant give any links but I had 2 road bikes (motorbikes) seats covered in this "alcantara look" vinyl which looks like suede, well alcantara actually, and it's weatherproof. looks really good IMO

Got it through a mate who's an upholsterer but dunno who supplies him sorry, and haven't spoke to him for years

why not glue vinyl to it

I glued camping mat to the inside of the outer panels between the square tubes

I might just do that although a suede type fabric would be nice. I don't want a fabric with any sheen ideally.

One other option I looked into briefly was flocking, but I was worried about it getting rubbed off the sides of the transmission tunnel by feet/legs/knees etc - although I didn't seek many opinions on this, might be worth a look? Suffolk Flocking have some examples
on their site.
