This is mostly accademic but If your fitting a hard top on a car with a roll bar, is it better to fit it over the bar or under?
My thinking is if the bar was over the roof, the roof is less likely to break and hit you.

If you had the top in two pieces it wouldn't be hard. I agree it would look cleaner under and you'd have more head space though.

def over the bar, if the roof was under there would be a danger that the roof would collapse during a roll rendering the roll bar useless at protecting the driver.
