This is my handbrake to gear clearance, feels fine in the car and doesn't get in the way but is there any strange IVA related rules I should be
aware of?
Second question of the day is at what angle should the front cycle wings sit? Are there any rules on this too with about of wheel showing? i've
put them in a couple of positions...

Your cycle wings appear to be fairly short . Therefore you need to look at the diagram in the IVA manual. This shows the minimum coverage the guard
has to have around the tyre circumference. You need to look at the index at the start of the manual to find the relevant section.

I am sure you can put flaps on to make them longer. I never found them to look too bad, from pics anyways.
Aerodynamically, they are better further forward.
Re the handbrake - gearstick clearance... there's one over-riding rule in the SVA/IVA test, which is that everything should work.
If you can pull the handbrake on when the gearstick is in neutral then it should be ok. However, if you want to do a handbrake turn whilst in gear
then you might have a problem!
Personally, I'd look for a way of separating the two as in their current arrangement they'll annoy you, whether they pass IVA or not.
As for the mudguard - I think it looks ok - it would certainly have passed SVA, but I can't comment on the IVA.
Reverse is top left so i'm sorted for that! Also the gear lever is in second so loads of room in neutral.

Handbrake - Gearknob clearance - Get a short shift kit or make one if you can't/don't want to move them
As for the arches I think they have to cover the entire plan view width of the tyre(above)
They have to be at least in line with the front edge of the wheel rim when viewed from the side
They can't terminate more than 154mm(ffrom memory) above the horizontal centre plane of the wheel when viewed from the side
They must also cover a certain degree sweep but assuming the above is covered you'll walk this bit.
Pic 1 looks right to me, mine lie at about halfway across the front of the tyre viewed from the side and go almost to the centre of the wheel on the
rear, they are slightly longer than yours by the looks of it though

Cool, I'll go with them in position one and try not to drill 10000000 holes in them!
Just checked, they must go 30 deg forward of the vertical line and 50 deg rearward and terminate no higher than 150mm from the horizontal at the rear
