Evening all. Having put 180 miles on the Indy since registering it yesterday I am now getting to know it and it's characteristics a little.

I have noticed it is sensitive to heat build up under the Bonnet in that it's fine when driving but if you stop in traffic for any length of time the guage starts to creep up. I switch the fan on and all is ok but think I need to vent the bonnet to aid the heat dispersal.

I can and will cut some vents into the bonnet shortly but I sas wondering do MK or anyone else sell the scoop for the Indy? And how much effort is it to fit?

carbon mods have a bonnet scoop not cheap though im not sure if mk sell the bulge or its part of the bonnet i have one but ordered it that way and it looks seemless underneath.
i think someone was selling a carbon scoop earlier this week dont know if it went or not.

Mine does that as well Neil and I've been meaning to cut some vents for ages. Car Builders do a few moulded options.

easiest way is to fit a new bonnet with scoop. the problem with heat will still be there though as the scoop is only really effective when running I have flared the side panels on mine to release the heat. On another Indy we found a 10 degree drop in heat when driven on the track using flared sides

Just come some holes in the back of your bonnet. It'll prob be more effective and cost a lot less than a boonet bulge/vent...

Of course you could cut holes out above the exhaust too, that's what I did and it seemed to have a cooling effect when stationary...
