I am considering making a glass aero screen, I saw one fitted to a Luego in one of the monthly Kit Car mags and it looked good.
It appeared to be mounted via a shortened set of screen mounts, without the use of a screen surround, or at least no top to the surround to obscure
vision.
I am considering using glass of not less than 6.4mm thick (not sure whether to use laminated or toughened), CNC cut to give a good radius to its edge
at the top where there is no surround.
Would a slightly greater rake to the screen make it more effective, and what height could I get away with?
I am sure someone out there has done something similar already.
Why glass?
Lexen is cheaper, lighter and easier to shape.
I work with glass is the only reason
I think it might be bill132hotrod - he's got a purple Luego. He lives round here somewhere and I think I have seen the car at an SKCC meeting or
Detling or somewhere.
Yes, there's a pic in his archive - might be worth a U2u to ask him about it?
