I have just sourced some wheels with the name embossed into the rim, so I want to highlight this, has anyone actually been this sad and done it?
What technique did you use?
I know how messy I will be with a brush, so was thinking to use a syringe and drop the paint into the lettering.
What has anyone else done?
Cheers
Nick
Either Brush it in over the top, or mask thebasic area and spray it on, then just t-cut the excess off when its touch dry.
you can buy motorbike tyre marking pens in halfords, like a little pen filled with paint, you can just colour in the bits you want. only white or yellow though i think
Cheers, might try the spray then, have a green tyre pen, but its too fat for the detail I need.

this may be a stoopid idea.... i have ed em before but could you wipe a cloth impregnated with sillicone across the face of the wheel then spray the
whole area?
i thought the paint applied to the siliconed areas would just wipe off?

You can get paint pens in a small nib sizes and loads of different colours from hobby shops. They're used for ceramic or glass painting.
Decieded to do my VIN today as it was showing signs of rust and wanted to make it clearer.
One engraved VIN:
Mask and spray a couple or 3 coats
(Vert) lightly sand with some Wet and Dry (1200 grade IIRC, lots of water, only over letters and avoided edges of chassis and welds)
Finish off with some cutting paste (Tcut was fine for this)
Schimples.
They arrived in white
The went to Powder Coat and came out Satin Black
I then used a syringe to drop the paint into the lettering, it worked very well and I have made matching centre caps
