Assuming I don't want a coloured gelcoat finish on my body work whats the best plan for painting, grey gelcoat?
Is there special paintable gelcoat available?

Yes mate there is a gel coat designed to be easy sanding for parts that are intended to be painted..

CFS do it and so would anyone else I would think.
