Exhaust Cutout
IainL - 10/9/11 at 06:46 PM

I need to cover the sharp edges where the exhaust exits through the side panel.

What have people used on here?

Cheers,
Iain

I have used a rubber edging from Woolies. Have a look here, http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/c-322-extrusion.aspx
Its the round extrusion with the split.

Got a mate with a large lathe to turn me up a nice ally ring about 10" in diameter

I'm just going to make a plate to surround it and rivet it in place.

i.ve heard of people taking a length of brake pipe, using a dremil to cut a slit and pressing that around the hole to make a nice radiused edge.

That;s a good idea. I would think that polished and laquered could look pretty good

Take a sheet of thin s/steel, and make your own - I didn't even need to rivet it on, the bent-over tabs hold it fast.

pushed into place......but tabs still at 90 degrees...

I don't have a close - up pic of the finished surround, but it is completely flush.
