Afternoon all

Wondering who supplies the stainless style heat shields with the holes in. I can only find the Europa one with car models cut into them.

Any ideas of suppliers? also anyone got one fitted, how are they attached to the exhuast?

Thanks
Nigel

Low Locost way is the chop up a washing machine drum (the guys at the local re-cycling centre or a washing machine specialist should be able to oblige).
It is of course nicely perforated and stainless and you can achieve a half round profile quite easily.
I joined mine in the middle by turning and rivetting then set three rivinuts at each end.
These were then drilled out to remove the thread to provide a) mounting and b) stand off.
Since my silencer has removable end caps it was simple to line the shield rivinuts up with the corresponding ones on the silencer and using longer cap-screws the job was done.
NB fold all edges of the stainless in as it's wicked sharp!
HTH and if you want pics let me know.
Cheers, Pewe

Nice tip mate.. Shame that I only took a washer to the dump the other week or I would of made a couple and popped them up for-sale

There are invariably Westfield shields on sale somewhere at any given time in CKC. 40 pounds sounds like the price, which is less than that advert posted here.
