FITTING WING MIRRORS

JUST BEEN TO A SHOW AT WEEKEND AND SAW QUITE A VARIETY OF WING MIRRORS FITTED NONE OF WHICH HAD 'E' MARKS ON THEM SO I COULDNT TAKE ANY MEASUREMENTS.CAN ANY ONE HELP ME AS TO WHAT VISIBILITY YOU SHOULD HAVE WHEN LOOKING INTO BOTH WING MIRRORS.I'M FITTING 'E' MARKED LONG STEM R1 MIRRORS AND WANT TO GET THEM RIGHT FIRST TIME.

You don't have to have the E mark, as long as the equipment complies with the standards on size and radius. This applies to lights and all other parts. Fit your mirrors high on the scuttle where it curves to the top surface. If it's fibreglass put a metal spreader plate behind it for reinforcement. You have to be able to see over the rear wings comfortably to pass.

P.S. knock the caps lock off, it's easier to read.
