The constraint of our current economic climate prevents me from purchasing the real deal, so I have decided to to take the cheaper approach by carbon
wrapping some parts, how hard can it be, has any one any tips, ideas and pics etc.
Thought I would start small and go from there, fancy a nice cam cover on my Blacktop first..... then may be I may end up with a nice dash and move
onto the bonnet.......

Use the search function. Loads of people have done it here wit some cracking results.
I would be worried about the heat & wrap not adhering properly on the cam cover but would love to see the results as I think it would look cool.
The DiNoc stuff is surprisingly heat-resistant - I had some bits unstick and rest against the exhaust primaries with almost no damage.
the wrap may be heat resistant but how heat resistant is the adhesive
Check my blog mate, Ive used loads of it very successfully. Once you get a grip of it its not so daunting

I`ve wrapped a complete Westfield V8 in carbon wrap this summer, it`s good stuff. You need to apply heat to make it bend around curves etc and with heat the stuff goes stretchy like chewing gum! I`m not sure though it will cope with direct engine heat being constantly heated & cooled?
Car looks good Hammy, may I ask where you got your carbon wrap from?
Likewise Hammy - Your blog is saved
Im interested in wrapping some parts of the Fiat
Sorry for my late response my first born boy arrived this week!! :-)
I bought the wrap on ebay it was £40 for a very generous amount. I will try and dig out the purchase history from my ebay account.
(Thanks for the comments on my car)
Sorry lads checked ebay and cant remember who the supplier was but I can tell you it is the Di Noc stuff and that I paid £40 for about 3 square metres. Any other questions let me know.
Thanks Hammy and congratulations on the addition to the family.........................
I'm building up to wrapping some bits on my car, but regarding the cam cover this looks much better....
