Diffusers?

Theres me cannot thinking of things to do the car, despite not driving it and wanting shot... the thoughts come to diffusers.
So, is there any benefits to a front dam and splitter given the small frontal area at the front? or, are canards effective?
Secondly, a rear diffuser is on the cards but am thinking of what shape? I have a sump on the tank to the left and a fog light hanging down on the
right, so, can I have a one shaped a bit like this ___/ ___ across the width where the centre is bent up to the bottom of the bodywork and the
outsides are down about 50mm to clear said obstacles?
Thoughts and any pics would be nice

Thoughts are that without serious design time and simulation you're going to get no improvements, possibly even reduction in performance, from a
badly designed diffuser/undertray. Case in point being some individuals I know drew up a simple undertray for a single seater they had, after some
decent simulation work they spotted that they had actually managed to create a whole heap of problems - and that's guys trained in aero work.

well, what I was thinking was... putting a tray under the back end surely is better than having it open and acting like a parachute??

To be fair you're better off having a flat undertray on than not, yes, but you may or may not get results you expect, was more my point (not
trying to dissuade you, just saying don't bank on downforce/other improvements from a quicky design)

Sometimes things we are doing on these have no benefit to the untrained eye. In this case, maybe decreasing benefit if done wrong. It'll provide
hours and hours of pure entertainment for you. Obviously it must be done.

I have a Flat floor on my westie, racing regs say i cant have an upward rise but between 10-12degrees certainly makes a difference ( so AB tells
me)
The main benifit of mine it to stop the back panel acting as a parachute..

i've unsuccessfully so far (what else is new, you ask?) made a few, but that is one the best I've ever seen, and I'll bet it's
functional. Also, the IVA people can't get after you for reversing into pedestrians and turning them into chopped beets.

Does any body make one that fits a book car? I ask because when driving the fabric covering the back of the car inflates at present.

They are very simple to make and some alloy and rivots mate
