I am trying to layout my windshield supports etc. It will likely be a split screen with the center about 3 inches forward of the sides, and with a
40 degree rake.
If I was to glue the glass down as in a modern car, how wide a section would I need to glue down on the edges. If too much I may have to go with
the rubber seals?

Most modern cars, quite wide, usually more than an inch

just remember to makesure the glass has a small gap to the frame (see below) when fitted else when you need to replace its hard to cut out with the
cheese wire and damages the surround. Guess how i know.

As usual thanks a lot for the help. the one cm sounds perfect for the middle as I did not want it to have a wide strip down the center but that would
give me about an inch block out of the center including both sides and the center support.
Thanks
