Not quite sure what it's called but I need a U shape bit of trim preferebaly in carbon to cover the side panel join and the chassis top rail in the cockpit area
Any ideas?

You can make this pretty easily, either from carbon fibre or a bent piece of ally, covered in uphostery vinyl. Came out very well on my car.

Plan B was to make some out of ali then covering in 3m carbon wrap stuff

That'll work too!
