Rear window as a windscreen?

Could be more hassle than it's worth, but has anyone thought of using a glass rear window from a soft top as a front windscreen?
Potentially a nice curved shape, and heated. Just need some custom brackets...

I only ask as I've just seen a Z4 rear window for sale online that looked a good size and shape.

Obviously a post IVA idea.

windscreen has to be laminated.Not sure a rear screen would be laminated and carry the correct markings.

Widescreen can be laminated or toughened
What it does need for IVA is the correct etched markings

Or toughened? Is that true? I was under the impression it HAD to be laminated, for good reason.

Not sure I would want to look through those heated screen lines!! If they fail a chip for the MOT I can see those lines being an issue
