Hi, can anyone tell me if i need to put a rubber strip between my nose cone and chassis, as well as my bonnet and scuttle. My thinking is that this would reduce any possible vibration later on. Any thoughts?

We used 3mm thick self adhesive closed cell foam strip 25mm wide on ours and there are no rattles from the scuttle or the nosecone.

I'm planning to do the same with the nose, bonnet and scuttle if that's any help!

I fgured it would reduce the chances of rattles and vibration and also protect the paint on the chassis.

Where did you buy it ?
I can't find a company in Holland that sells it.

You can get 19mm x 3mm self adhesive grey closed cell sponge from car builder solutions (www.nfauto.co.uk).

Yes, we get ours from a company called Albert Jagger. I believe their part number is RA25.

Basically its a Closed Cell Polyurethane Foam with an S/A backing. 25mm Wide and approx 3mm Thick. The type we get is black, in 10m rolls, and its VERY cheap!

Closed cell will be better than open cell, as it will not absorb water.

Regards,

Chris.
