Hello, yet anuther potential prob.

Am concerned about using G/F resin to glass in place some PVC channel, or conduit. Will the PVC react with the resin? Or maybe dissolve into a sticky mess?

The channel, or conduit tube, will hold wiring under the rear wheel arch, and I intend to fix said tubing in place with glass fibre.

I used convoluted cable sleeving, and bonded it in with Sikaflex

The resin doesnt stick well to PVC, mate of mine used a strip to act as a corner on a repair, once the repair was set the pvc strip just pulled off.

Polyester Resin or Epoxy Resin for that matter won't melt the PVC tube. If you are wanting to protect the cables from stones etc it will be fine. As said it won't really bond to it but if you glass over it you are just really using the tube as a former, once cured the Glass will be doing the work. I use it to reinforce the backs of moulds. Garden hose also works well and it will follow curves.

The conduit won't adhere properly - the G/F you're trying to hold it in place with, are you trying to bond it to other fibreglass? If so, clean current surface well with acetone and use EPOXY resin (not polyester) and adhesion should be good.

I second the use of Sikaflex,.... there is an excellent product called ebt, it is available from screwfix,..
