choice of rivets and rear wing fixings.

After playing earlier, a serious question.

I have the option of using countersunk rivets for the join between the two side panels, should i do it or use "normal" rivets?

See attached pic.

Also how many fixings have people used to attach the rear wings? I was thinking of 4 but worried about them falling off when someone sits on them.

P.s. Sorry about pic size.

I should think I have 8 - 10 6mm nuts /bolts (nyloc) holding the rear wings on..........

I would go for the "normal" stuff.Counter sink rivets are usefull if you want to reduce drag like on airplane wings but for a car i would go for the easiest way,drill-deburr-rivet!

Dan

7 off M5 per wing; 4 in the front half where the wing fixes to the metalwork and 3 where it fixes to the GRP rear panel. Threaded bushes for the front 4.
All fasteners are st.st, penny washers under the screw heads and penny washers on the inside as well with nyloc nuts at the rear. Now its all bolted up the wings are very secure and rigid.
