Hi ! Just a stupid question really because I've looked at hundreds of cars at the shows but never really looked at bonnet fixings !! But do i need two of the rubber iva fasteners or four ? They come in packs of two so not sure whether some basic hooks were used on the other side ? Cheers .
Most cars have two on each side
Thanks jacko ! 4 it is !
I've always thought a lip on the front of the bonnet that hooked under the nose-cone would be a good idea. Then if the catches ever come undone, the bonnet wouldn't be able to lift off. Seen yet another post today where thats happened.

I fitted the Aerocatch. Pretty straight forward to fit. They fit flush to the body so gives a much cleaner line to the car and is IVA compliant. Also much more secure than the up and over rubber catch's IMHO

Dzus fasteners are another alternative. Hold well and look good. Can be fiddly to set-up though. Cost around a fiver for each fastener.
thanks for the help everyone.
I always take the bonnet off when the MK is in the garage, it lets the rubber catches relax and keep the elasticity. You could
just unclip the catches, but, it would be bound to happen wouldn't it?
