Currently in the process of having my cycle wings remade. I know they're needed on the car, legally, but what risks do I run driving the car
without them fitted? - Points, fine, warning?
If I did, unfortunately run someone over with a front corner chances are the lack of a cycle wing wouldn't really affect the outcome of their
injuries, also - how well do the police KNOW the laws surrounding covered wheels etc?
Yes officer, they both fell of at the same time. I'm just driving it home

Why bother (?) particularly now that you have asked the question on here! If you did have an accident and hurt someone, the fact that you have asked this question will definately 'come up' and be used against you!
Agreed, if it were just an accident.
Your original post said if you ran someone down ........ hence my useful comment!
I would expect most officers would just give you a VDR form which means you would have to fix it and take it to an MoT station to have it stamped. I
doubt they would be able to do much more than that.
Not sure if they still do that but that happened to me when I had a cracked windscreen once.
