I am after ideas on what to use on the underside of my bonnet on my libra to protect it, it needs to be black.
Any suggestions it is a large area.

silver back foil will do a better job of insulating the panel and will be lighter too, why black?

car builder solutions sell lots of materials for this job

Protect it from what?

If it stone chippings thrown up from the wheels you're worried about, I lined the underside of the arches with SOUNDMAT and I've seen others stick camping mat there to absorb the impacts. CBS also do WONDERSEAL that you can stipple on for similar effect (brushable seam sealer from local factors is the same and might be cheaper).

my current bonnet is black underneath assume it is some sort of stone chip but it is smooth.
