I am installing the wiper mechanism from a mini. Any suggestions on how short the wiper arms should be cut to? Are the dimensions for mounting the pivots mentioned in the book good?

get a large bit of paper - like plain wallpaper - and draw it out 1:1 scale, using your glass size. You can then 'try out' witha ruler or cardboard strips the arc that will be covered
