a while back someone was talking about using something from B+Q instead of the "carlite" brush on rubber stuff you use under your arches etc
to stop crazing of your gel coat from flying stones.
anyone remember ? was it any good ?
thanks
NF Auto do something like it called Wunderseal.
http://www.nfauto.co.uk/wunderseal.htm
IIRC it was a rubber roof sealing compound....
dunno if anybody tried it though...
from what i remeber someone used the goo used to stick felt to wooden roofs - did the job well too.
i used the roofing stuff, easy to apply, needs a couple of coats tho
thanks people any particular brand or type I should be looking for ?
thanks
I use StoneChip from the local car place. easy to apply with a compressor and Schulz Gun. Goes on thick, and can be overpainted. Used it on last 3
rebuilds.. Is this other stuff cheaper then?.
I seal seams with Car Brushable Seam Sealer (not cheap), then cover with Stone Chip and sometimes paint depending on where it is on the vehicle.
on the mini i had i used underseal with wax oil built in great stuff re apply for better results, bit messy though
