Tiger Avon new paintwork and finished
jossey - 5/9/14 at 08:42 AM

Its done at last. Just a few tweaks for the track day.

I bought the body in Green from Neilp with rear damage and repaired and painted *(Myself) so be kind. The cycle wing had been yellow so again I sprayed them in Black.

I understand the colour is not everyones cup of tea so be kind...

Carbon wrap bonnet what needs doing again due to a slip with the grinder lol

Nose cone needs spraying it came from tiger really poor gel coat and even applying the flake and lacquer it looks awful.

Looks like a decent job, but not my cup of tea i'm afraid...

You are as fast as a motorbike but half the height..
Strongly suggest some daytime running lights

Thanks :-)

It seems more people dislike the flake than like it.

it's all personal preference though isn't it. I'm sure there's plenty of things on my car that other people don't like, and same with theirs. If you like the car and how it looks, that's the main thing, although it's always nice to get appreciation from others.
In any case, your car still looks great mate and i'm sure you'll still attract plenty of attention wherever you go!

Thanks.

It's not that hard to put on either. You just need a lot of lacquer to cover the flake. I used the large flake on mine.

First paint job I've ever done in full. I have repaired bits on my cars before.

I never finished the side panels fully I didn't lacquer over the flake when done I just couldn't bare more sanding etc lol.

I have loads of spare flake if you need some.

Just be aware you need at least a 2.0 spray gun to get it out..
