how much room are peeps leaving between their front wheels and wings (or mounts) - do the sides of the wing actually go around the tyre or do they sit a little apart?

You need a bit of space, otherwise you can't get the wheel off...

yeah, i saw that problem coming when the ends of my wing stays bend around the tyre and i could only take it off as the tyre was flat!

enough gap to put your fingers onto the tread of the tyre sounds sensible?
