Hi all, just joined few days. Found a 7 that has been in storage for last 12 years, bought it and got it home. Car is in great nick, was dry stored on
blocks and covered. Sorted battery, oil, brakes etc and got it running.
Stripped out dash to sort indicators and lights, turned out to be bad earths.
Car has a xflow 1300, trying to identify the kit, is there any tips that would help ?
Thanks for any help
Post some pics. Someone will know.
A picture or two would help!!
The question you pose at the minute without any picture is a "how deep is this hole question" need pictures of the car, the suspension set up etc to help narrow the kits down.
100% Dutton
Austin 7 chummy.
My money is on a robin hood!
A locust or dutton
What is the chassis number, that normally gives a clue (should be on the v5).
Another vote for Locust! Or possibly a series 1 Caterham worth thousands ....
Definitely either a Caterham R500 or a Dutton Melos.
My moneys on a Westfield FW400 or a Robin Hood 2B with sliding pillars
1300 crossflow - must be an early F27
Does it look like this?
Would that body fit a Locost
Post some pics.......
Think i managed to set up photobucket ok, will soon fid out i suppose
can you take a pic of the front suspension? but possibly a locust
I also think it may be a locust, clam shell arches, nose shape and cockpit sides around rear wheels. Here is another example, note the similarity.
What does the v5 say it is?
