Yes I've used it. Sprayed first with black then the wrinkle stuff. Not quite as good as I remember it 30 yrs ago maybe a different product.

I just end up with completely flat spots

It absolutely HAS to be baked to get the wrinkles. Oven, 50-100C for 30 minutes.

I used it ok with good results.

Spray it as even as possible, but as the instructions say it needs to be thick. This naturally creates poor looking areas, but thats because you are looking at it with a gloss paint expectation.

Bung it in the oven at the temp is says and wait the time. I had to give it a little longer but it was good in the end.

Photos in my archive IIRC. I sold in on ebay for 99p after 6 years use 😶

Isn't there something in the instructions about the direction of spray too? Something line 1 coat left to right, 1 coat top to bottom and another diagonally?

Yeah their is and i have followed that too the letter. Just some areas after a few hours dry look wrinkled already and others completely flat. Will try baking tonight.

My cans said you may need to bake it. I didn't bake the first try and ended up with "bald" patches, had to grit blast it back and go again with baking.

I always find baking any car part that gets painted improves things no-end. Except the flavour of your food for a few days after.

I thought you had to bake it.

All the magic happeded when I did that.

If you have not baked it, I think that is where your problem is

Put it in the oven and my house stinks. Also instead of crinkling it just bubbled up 😩

Done quite a few bits with good results using the VHT paint. Put it on thick till you think it will run then some more. Leave overnight in a warm environment. I use a couple of fan heaters to keep the room temp up as much as possible. Personally I wouldn't force it in an oven just let it do its thing overnight.
