tri - 14/3/05 at 09:38 PM

i started to polish my exhaust at the weekend and its looking okish theres a lot of little scratches in it which will not polish out after spending alot of time on them. prob will not really matter to anyone else but they do to me and i would hate to put this much work into it to leave it as it is so i am asking if anyone knows a way to get ride of them with out putting more marks on it.

Using Solvol Autosol should cure it together with a polishing mop where possible. Where did you get your exhaust, do you have any problems with staining... internal imperfections in the material.

Hi
I bought a stainless steel polishing kit from B&Q for £9.95.

It contains 3 mops, sisal, hard buff & soft buff along with 3 compounds.

The sisal mop is used first and is really good at removing scratches this is followed by the other 2 mops.

I am really pleased at the results acheived on my exhaust.

Hope this helps

Keith
