Which Bike mirrors are SVA-OK?
NS Dev - 27/5/05 at 08:22 AM

Anybody got a list of bike mirrors which conform the SVA glass area and radius requirements, and deflection etc?

The mirrors you fit dont have to meet the deflection requirements on a locost. As, unless you are fitting very long ones, they will fall inside the plan of the vehicle. Assuming the basis is that if someones going to get hit by the mirror they have more important things to worry about....like the back wheel

Shameless self plug - I've got a pair of mirrors from MAC1 which I didn't use in the end so they're up for sale if you're interested. They're the bike type ones (not sure what bike they're off though I'm afraid), flexible rubber sleeves and they deflect as well.

Look like they are off a Honda Fireblade, how much do you want for them? I need to get my mirrors sorted out.

Cheers

Nat i've got some cheep and nasty ones you can borrow for SVA - i intend using them to get me through the test and then fit something else (unless i find something else first).

(they are the lolocost ones)

Cheers Mike!

I'll buy some bike ones off ebay then and that way if they don't conform, I've got a second option.

Thanks

Nat

Pete, those look more like bandit ones to me, very similar and doubt it makes any difference

I believe they are blade one's too - they're the same as our's! They aren't as good as the honda one's tho'... you pay your money -
