Cut & shut spoiler ...... best way?
RazMan - 19/6/05 at 06:10 PM

Pretty soon I will be butchering ... er .... modifying a Scooby spoiler to make it fit my GT (see my other thread in the middy section for pics)

Ideally I would like to cut it in half and insert a 300mm section, effectively widening the whole spoiler.

What is the best way to do this? Are they a metal skeleton covered in fibreglass or am I barking up the wrong tree?

No im pretty sure they're just fibreglass!

Easiest, if you can afford it, would be to buy another spoiler the same, then cut them both into one third/two thirds, then joint the two off two thirds sections together, if you get what i mean?

Cheers

Excellent Idea Fred! It's funny how the bloomin' obvious escapes you sometimes innit?
