I have removed some scratches in my GRP with 600 wet and dry, then 1200, then a cutting compound. The scratches are gone but the GRP finish is slightly matt. I've never done this before and I'm quite pleased that there are no traces of the scratches but how can I polish the GRP back to a shine?
What cutting compound did you use ? I have done the same and finished with Farecla G3 paste, a bit of elbow grease required but it came back looking OK.
did the same with mine recently, 1000 wet and dry, then some G3 then auto glym polish and it came up nice. polish seems to have sunk into it now so needs doing again but it's a hell of a lot better than scratches!
go thru the grades finish with as high a number you can get....2000ish then use G6 and G3 with polisher.......bingo shiney city
OK, more elbow grease it is.
