Being a tight Git, I was wondering what people were using as filler caps?
Not wanting to pay £65+ for an aero cap and being unsure about unclefista's dog bowl method, What are peoples ideas.
Take care Dan.
I'm just puting a screw cap straight onto tank,i'll have to lift boot to fill up but that will be my means of locking acces to cap.
When i'm allowed acces to the bank by mrs bob i will eventually fitt aero cap to back of car,but dont knock the dog bowl idea as i've seen it on
roland and marcus's 1st build and it works and looks good.
Dog bowl method?
I have an ally Stuart Taylor tank. The filler hole is in the 'boot', so no fancy cap needed. This could be adapted to any type of tank I would have
thought.
However, there is no fancy fuel guage either, just a clear plastic pipe.
europaspares do an old fashioned aston martin type locking cap - think the type Ron used in book 1 - for about 35 quid. If you use the proper fuel
hose thats about a quid an inch too!

Unfortunately the SVA inspectors would not be to impressed with one of these, I am going to fit a screw on cap in the boot area first.
