great new way to make a male plug for fiberglass, it's going to need some work to finish it off, but the dimensions should work well for my guages.

I made a plug from hobby foam bought at walmart, cut it to size sanded the edges round, and pulled the fleece tight over it. Then I took it out to the shed, mixed up a coffee can worth of resin, and loaded the plug up until the fleese was saturated.

Where it is wrinkled will probably be cut off, or sanded down and fiberglassed over. I plan to have this removeable and seperate from the scuttle that way I can access the wires for the guages, and have easy access to the fuse box, and the rest of the stuff under the scuttle. Tach will go dead center behind the steering wheel, and the rest of the guages will go on the center pannel

Ive used this method to build high end custom sub boxes before, but those are alot easier to form than this was.

How did you shave the wool off?
Most New Zealanders drive with a sheep on their lap for some in-car entertainment - if you know what I mean and it also acts as an airbag if they hit another sheep.

The fleece is used instead of fiberglass cloth, it's actually pretty sturdy, and mostly flat, just needs some sanding and a layer of body filler on the outside. Although I do plan to reinforce the inside of it with 2 layers of mat just for strength.

And I think I saw a video of the new zealander with the sheep once.
