Happy Birthday mate!
and Happy Birthday
. If you weren't so far away. It's one of the jobs best done before you fit the engine really, so you can get in the
engine bay from under the car and draw a line with a marker. Remember to cut a bit at a time so you don't finish short. If you've cocked up
before use the failure as a template by taping cardboard to it, draw round it and leave a bit for trimming.
Good luck!
And Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday, and hope it goes well, if not, drink the vodka, if it goes fine, drink the vodka!
Sounds like you'll be getting pretty drunk!....If it doesn't work a nice moulded Carbon Fibre one would look ver nice!
Drunken victory or drunken failure?
.
went ok - its on, trimmed down to nearly right, held in place with straps and tape....
doesnt seem very keen in holding shape, but i'm beginning to think that the tension will hold it in place against the bonnet clips.....
finishing tonight..
(still got some vodka left!!)
How hard is it, this is my next job i have been putting it of for a month or two but am running out of other things to do
will have to tackle it soon, dont suppose you have any photos of your work

It's not too difficult to make, we made ours pretty quickly using a cardboard template, a lamp-post and a couple of ratchet straps.
You have to overbend the bends otherwise they won't bend far enough.
I have some photo's on my website (pages 25-26), hope they help.
