Thats outrageous, where did you get the quote from Fin.
I was just going to cover them in 15 quids worth of vinyl.

I've got a pair of Midi van seat swaiting and had come to the conclusion a while ago it'd be a DIY job. There was acompany advertising in the kit car mags and at the shows for a kit, consisting of two pre-made covers for these seats. I think they weren't cheap though, £180 springs to mind. If I can locate details I'll post them.
cheers ill wait for your post.

Just a point that i may have mentioned before, but here goes---- unless i've not followed the book properly for the standard chassis, bedford rascal
seats need to be cut down (width) to fit in the cockpit, 1" passenger & 2" drivers side, also removal of reclining mech knob, and its best to weld up
recliner pivots. What seemed an easy job at the time has turned into a rather large task, now all there is to do is recover them...!!!!
cheers
phil............
im not sure you have to modify the seat chassis apart from removing the reclining mech. i could be wrong, look in bobs photos about the 3rd photo
down. those seats are the ones ive got (thanks Bob ) and they seem to fit quite well.
cheers
fin
anyhoo, Bob where did you get your vinyl from?
I think bob is building a mk indy which i presume is a fair bit wider than standard because it is sierra based, wider track allows more cockpit space
= fitting of wider seats. The dimensions of my book cockpit are as close as damn it to those given in the book and I have had to chop my rascal seats
to get them to fit .
Aint life a bitch!!!
Phil..............
42" i think,so thats about book size or near as dam it
The vinyl came from Stoneleigh last year.
Woolies are the big name in interior edging and bits
you still got the vinyl, or are you using it?? if youre getting rid then ill give you what you paid for it.
cheers
fin
Its all being cut up into bits as i'm making gearstick and handbrake gators out of it,£5 a pair or exchange for 1 breckie.
