Louvers, will they pass SVA
mark chandler - 29/3/06 at 08:46 AM

Hi Chaps,

I,m starting to think about panels now the frames nearly complete.

I,m planning to have a flat bottom right across the frame and put in louvers to vent in both bonnet, side panels and floor section behind the rad.

Are Louvers SVA friendly or do I need to leave these off until I have submitted for a test ?

Regards Mark

They are acceptable but it depends on the gap. As the gap gets bigger, the edges need to be radiused; for small gaps, blunted eges are required.

Mine are fairly standard and they passed SVA test, I covered them and was asked why as they didn't need them.

If it's any consolation they do look very professional.

Very smart and not easy to do neatly without the right kit
