Easiest way is to ask the driver.

Or you could put photographs all over your bedroom wall, of all the different types available.
Then you can play name that 7 while in bed with your partner.
Assuming there is nothing better to do.

Seriously they all have subtle differences and its a case of looking and learning.

The easiest one to spot is the Cateringvan. As soon as the driver opens his mouth it will be obvious.

The easiest way is to look at the bonnet badge! It's the only way I'd know the difference. Too busy driving to give a balls about things like that anyway.

Westfields are easiest to spot because of the 'step' on the side along a line at teh lower edge of the bonnet - helped them be legal rather than regarded as a copy of a Lotus/Caterham.

I'm afraid it's a hopeless task. With all the Locosts there are, bearing in mind they all look superficially the same, yet there are no two exactly alike. Some homebuilts are using bodywork panels from a kit manufacturer (or from several, for that matter!), or copying different designs that they like, basically they're like people. They all have the same shape, but they're all different....

erm...... westfiel has a ridge down the side.... and a different roll bar thats got 2 45° angles instead of a 90° bend

Dax have a strange roll bar

Robin hoods have more ally involved

MK have 2 bulges on the side of the front arches

Tiger cat e have a buldge at the front and no visable shocks. the avon has a scoop that looks a bit ditterent.

Thats jus from what ive observed and is by no means correct its more of a rule of thumb from what ive seen.
