Bonnet bulge/scoop
Bob C - 23/9/06 at 08:39 PM

Been asked a million times, but here goes again...
Anybody got a power bulge, or better scoop for a GRP bonnet surplus to requirements? I need 1.5" high, about 9" wide and about 18" long
Or who would flog such a thing (off the shelf - needed soon!)
Thanks
Bob

I have got a similar sized scoop that I made myself although it will need some work to get it fitted - you can have it for postage if you like.

Edit: here is a pic of said monster - you can alway cut'n'shut it to fit your application.
It measures 800 x 150 x 50

That mini scoop certainly turned into a bit of a monster Raz!

Any closer to something that'll do the job?

Chris.

Thanks Raz, but that looks too narrow - shame!
I'll ring MK - the standard indy bonnet scoop looks about right! maybe they'll have a scrap bonnet or something.
Thanks for the idea Mark but I need this now...!
It's quite likely I'll end up bashing out something temporary out of aliminium, but it would be nicer to find a properly finished grp job.
Cheers
Bob

This is where I Got mine from - they do them with a hole in the front (like mine - see www link below) or without.

LINKY

They're quite well made, but in a grotty grey resin, so painting is essential. Fairly cheap.
