I am trying to find some examples of body work that has the front wings/fenders enclosed somewhat like the clamshells but around the front as well.
Ideally I am looking for something like the aero 8 style from the sideview but the inside edge of the fender is open to allow the wheel room to turn
without giving in to the bulbus look that it has at the front.
Any links or pics you could show me towards.
Thanks
Dale
Not sure if this is the type of thing you're after, but here is a pic of a Dutton Phaeton

Looks like I may have missed a couple of interesting coments- well at least on that tag line. I really like the front of the one tegwin posted, it
could melt into the side view I am looking for as well.
Zilspeed, what is the car in your pic I have searched a bit but cant find a closer pic of the front.
Followed the link-- some interesting things there as well
Thanks
Dale

Zil's car is a cross between Sylva Leader and Star....
But his photo is photoshopped...
Have a look at one of Mr Jeffrey's cars at the bottom of this page. http://www.electric-cars-plans.com/

I've been trying to find a pic of a Genie Wasp but not having much luck. Only a few were built by a guy in Fife in the late 80s early 90s (Robert
Taylor IIRC), and they had very similar bodywork to Dale's car with a very puposeful fully enclosed front end (hid the bulky Cortina wishbones).
Nice car - always wanted one. Anyone got a pic they could post or scan from a mag?
Crap sketch but to scale. Kind of a combination of the Aero donkey with the deep slope on the side similar to the aero morgan.

Very interesting thread, and it got me thinking if there is a market, for an off the shelf enclosed front end, that could fit a locost seven?
Kind of a modern Dutton Pheaton, or something similar...
