Hi All -

Sikaflex bonding/sealing stuff; where can I buy it? Have tried asking thru their website, no reply so far. Some of you builders have used it, maybe?

Don't use sikaflex unless it's for free. Far too expensive. There are several generic versions on the market. Just ask for a polyurethane sealant/adhesive, should be £3-5 per tube. Most sealant manufacturers sell a version and you can get it from coachbuilders/caravan manufacturers etc. Note once opened you really have to use it as it cures using moisture from the atmosphere. You can cover the ends (both) of the tube with silver tape but it won't last long.

SpeedShack (.co.uk) sell a stikaflex clone which I've used a few times. Not as good as the real thing but then again nothing is that I've tried so far - does the job though. Also try 'Tiger seal' - that's worked for me in the past.

Thanks for the advice. I'll check out the alternatives.
For PTM: I assume there's no reaction between this polyu sealant & the plastic tunnel panels. Did you use it on yours? Plus 1 more question - what length rivets are needed to fix these panels?

There's no reaction between the PU and the panels. It won't stick to them either! I used the same rivets as the ally panels, just drill the holes out in the panels slightly larger to allow for expansion.
FYI the panels are 3mm thick.

Have found a source of PU12 sealant/adhesive (£3 per tube). Fasteners supplier in Brum is clearing out his stock, because its being replaced with the more expensive PU18 version. Check out http://www.mayers-fasteners.co.uk
