I was getting bored for something to do, thought I could do better than my current 7 grill badge effort.
thought this was not very "locost" £35.25

so here's one I made earlier (a couple of hours' work in total):
Take one piece of ali sheet c. 2mm thick
Print off the second pic above reversed, and stick it onto the ali sheet (on what will be the back, to minimise damage from cutting) and leave to
marinate overnight.
Drill holes at the corners of the badge, drill and fix with drawing pins to a piece of 6mm plywood and drill through the wood.
Carefully cut out the shape with a jigsaw - the plywood provides support and avoids bending of the ali.
Soak off paper pattern, file the edges, apply brushed effect with Scotch pad, clean off dust.
Attach to grill with silver grey cable ties and voila!
Pics below:
1. Old badge
2. Ali sheet with pattern on the plywood
3. Cut out badge with plywood backing
4. As fitted

Looks great.
There's a lot of satisfaction in making stuff yourself.
