I've made a number of body moulds now and most have been pretty successful, but I was wondering if anyone had oversprayed the plug with laquer rather than just paint? The pain always needs a load of work to get it really smooth, just thought the laquer might be easier?

Just use a high build primer. Then lots of rubbing down to ensure a smooth finish.
