As title, can anyone confirm the size of these tail lights?
If I know the taillight size I can scale the other dimensions I need to help position the body cut outs on the rear of my body pattern.

can you not assume the number plate is standard UK size and use that to work out the other dimensions?
(I predict we get a "What size is this number plate?" post soon )

that would work, so "What size is this number plate?"
Also, at a guess, would those exhaust pipes be 3"?

I am pretty sure I have those lights in a box at home. I will measure them tonight. They are from SVC (is that right?) and are the same size as the 'hamburger' style ligths.

They also use them on some buses.
Though you'ld have to get the tape measure out at the bus stop pretty quickly unless you live near a depot!!
They certainly look like the lights SVC supply - check here about half way down the page...

Dia. 122.5mm
I though it was the digits on a number plate that had to be a certain size, not the plate itself.
I have just been out to measure some, as I thought I might assist.
Guess what? Three cars, Rover, Renault and a Ford and they all have different size plates; 3&15/16, 4&7/16 and 4&3/4.
The numbers in the photo do not look standard, so that's no help either.
Hella lamps. Part No2BE 964 169-071
122.5mm diameter 82.5mm deep.

Looks like I dont need to measure 'em up tonight after all. They are deffo the ones half way down the SVC page.
I have a pair of those.
In the end I fitted the SVC flat oblong LED units as my arches are quite tight to the wheels.
£18 + p ?

Rereading the post, I now see that I missed that 907 is offering me the same lights to buy.
Thanks for the offer, but I plan to use period style "landrover" type smaller lights

No problem Fred.
As you are in SA the post was aimed at anyone really that clicked the link to SVC and were contemplating buying them.
I tend to go to shows and see stuff I fancy, then see something I like more at the next show.
At one stage I was going to fit square 2CV headlights, so I bought a pair with the intention
of refurb'ing them and having them chromed, Westfield style.
Like loads of stuff they now sit on the "items to fit" shelf in the garage.
I'll have a clear out one day.
