Colour Identification
andylancaster3000 - 4/9/07 at 06:04 PM

I'm hopefully about to buy a set or arches but before I do so I'd like to try and identify a colour match so that paint can be bought to try and replicate it on other parts of the car. The arches in question are MK locost arches of a few years back I believe and i'm hoping they only had a finite number of available colours. Can anyone tell me what it is and whether there is a colour code for it to get a match?

Cheers,
Andy

Try this LINK, see if it's the same colour?

Only way to get a reliable match is to take your wing to a good car paint merchant. Most of them mix colours according to code but the good ones will match a colour from a sample. I was at my favourite paint shop this morning with a mate who has a dubious green Triumph Herald. we matched it as close as we can from the paint chip chart and the guy is going to mix an exact match from a cellulose green he has. I would se if you can get a car paint supplier near you to do the same.

Best of luck,

Caber

PS never rely on RAL or BS codes to match for different materials or paint systems!

That looks familiar, looks the same colour as ours, (standard MK locost bodywork).

I can't give you a name for it, 'cos normally we take a broken bit down to MK and they order us some new bits, but I know it's a "standard" colour

The colour has always been a perfect match.
