Fitting the bonnet. How have other people fitted rubber trim at each end? I've got the tadpole type trim but not a fan of how it looks with the rubber in the gap and uneven bonnet/body levels - so can it just be left out?

I used the very small tadpole stuff and carefully super glued it to the underside, has not moved in nearly 2 years.
